We are a small, rural church with a deep and rich history that speaks life and truth to lives today. Join us for worship or any of our events and receive a word of hope and enjoy community with others.

Our mission is based on Mark 12: 28-30 as well as Luke 10:27:

"love the Lord your God with all your heart,

with all your soul, with all your mind, and all your strength.

The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself."

To fulfill that calling we will:

encourage individual personal growth first, congregational unit growth next, both with a goal to encourage furthering the kingdom of Jesus Christ in our local community and beyond;
grow personally and collectively: becoming more Christ-like, following His ways and footsteps;
develop a working partnership with our pastor, church, and community and the belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Who We Are

Liberty United Methodist Church is a church with a deep history that helps today’s people connect with God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We seek to be a community following Jesus Christ and sharing His life with others through discovery, love, and service. We exist to bring disconnected people into authentic community and journey with them in a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

We desire to be the kind of church described in the Bible - a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need.

We seek to be a place where encountering God is the norm and where spiritual renewal inspires and encourages the entire community, one life at a time.

We seek to be a community of miraculous expectation where we truly believe that with God all things are possible.

Liberty UMC is part of the Missions District and Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. We welcome people of all backgrounds.

Our mission is to help people know Christ's love, grow in Christ's love, and share Christ's love.
